Description

🌹 Revived Roses

Revived Roses restores removed and unused content from early versions of Minecraft, re-implementing them with modern mechanics and full vanilla-style integration for recent versions of the game.

📜 Content Overview

Flowers

  • Red Rose
Removed in Java Edition 1.7.2. Fully restored as a placeable flower.

  • Blue Rose
Originally present only in Minecraft Pocket Edition v0.7.0 (2013) betas.
Reintroduced along with a new variant:

    • Blue Rose Bush

  • Small Peony
    Unreleased flower from beta development.
Present in the game files as two unused textures, now fully implemented.

Materials

  • Ruby
Planned for early vanilla Minecraft but never released.
Implemented as a complete progression material:

    • Ruby Ore

    • Deepslate Ruby Ore

    • Full set of ruby tools and equipment
Balanced to follow modern Minecraft standards.

Mechanics

  • Gears
Experimental mechanical block that appeared briefly during early development (Indev era) and was later removed before release.
    Reintroduced as a functional system:

    • Forms connected gear networks

    • Integrates with modern redstone

    • Proper signal propagation and shutdown

    • Designed without heavy block entities

🧩 Design Goals

  • Restore removed or unused vanilla concepts

  • Follow vanilla balance and behavior

  • Maintain compatibility with modern Minecraft mechanics

  • Avoid adding unrelated content
