Rocketry

An enchantment for crossbows, incompatible with Multishot and Piercing.

Effects

• Halves firework rocket speed and doubles flight duration
  • Firework rockets travel the same distance, only at half the speed
  • Firework rockets without an explosion are given a random simple explosion
  • Pillagers and Creative players will load a firework rocket by default instead of an arrow
  • Shooting a firework rocket down (≤45° from straight down) while falling will make you mount the rocket
    • The rocket will aim in the direction you look
    • The rocket will still explode after the normal time or upon collision, so you must dismount in time and avoid obstacles to avoid taking damage
    • Since the rocket explodes when colliding with blocks, you must aim back up to avoid hitting the ground immediately
    • Note: May be more difficult to execute with high ping/latency

Obtaining

• The enchanted book can be obtained from End City chests and Trial Chamber vaults
• Pillagers in waves 6+ of raids have a chance of spawning with a crossbow enchanted with Rocketry
