Description

Minefading — A Special from Relics of the Fading City

While this mod was originally designed for a specific modpack, I'd love to see it adopted in more modpacks — provided proper credit is given to the original author and commercial use is strictly prohibited.

This mod reworks the death mechanic: instead of respawning at their spawn point, players are rolled back to a previous point in time upon death.

It also packs a variety of unique features and mechanics:

Name Type Function Notes
Inhaler Inhaler Used to activate the Core. Must be held in the main hand.
Disconnection Core Core Instantly saves the game. Must be held in the off-hand.
Chronos Core Core Instantly saves the game and slows down time for a duration. The game auto-saves again once the effect wears off. Must be held in the off-hand.
Molting Core Core Instantly triggers a rollback. Must be held in the off-hand.
Tower Core Core Destroys the player. Must be held in the off-hand.

WARNING: This permanently forces the player into Spectator Mode (irreversible)!
Sand Core Core Marks a creature, bringing it to the player's side during a rollback. Must be held in the off-hand.

Only one creature-marking Core may be active at a time.
Causality Core Core Marks a creature. Upon the player's death, the marked creature takes damage equal to the player's max health, while the player is healed. Must be held in the off-hand.

Only one creature-marking Core may be active at a time.
Myriad Core Core Marks a creature. Whenever the marked creature takes damage, the items in the player's main hand and off-hand are modified. Must be held in the off-hand.

Only one creature-marking Core may be active at a time.
Stasis Core Core Marks a creature, temporarily disabling its AI. Must be held in the off-hand.

Only one creature-marking Core may be active at a time.
Countdown Mod Config At the start of each new day, the on-screen display changes from "Day X" to "X Days Remaining." WARNING: Once the countdown reaches zero, the player is permanently forced into Spectator Mode (irreversible)!
