I just wanted an item to go with the "Spoiled" mod.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.

Description
Just configure the "Spoiled" mod to use the "rotten_pile:rottenfood" item that is created by this mod.
Then remember to block the item from being spoiled so it can stack properly. Same goes for "rotten_pile:rotten_pile"
This mod is technically stand-alone. This is my first mod for minecraft ever. Sorry if its weak lol
Version 1.0.0:
1. Rotten Pile item added. Has 25% chance of being composted.
2. Roten Pile can be eaten to completely deminish hungerbar
Updating to version 1.0.1 :
1. New Rotten Mass Block; compostable; can be smelted; falls like sand/gravel
2. New Potions and Arrows; found in creative but not craftable yet.
3. New potion effect for just particles.
4. New Rotten Slime Item; washed in water converting into regular slime balls; can be thrown like a snowball
5. Rotten Mass block has slime sounds and it makes you slower with worsened jump height while on the block.
Updating to version 1.0.2:
1. Rotten Mass block can now be broken and is easier to break.
2. Rotten Mass block now drops item when broken.
4. Rotten Mass block can be used as fuel in a furnace (half as strong as coal).
5. Rotten Mass block can be used and converted in BioStill block to create liquid "BioFuel".
6. New BioStill block to create liquid "BioFuel".
7. Rotten Slime Ball changed to throw shorter distance with less force.
8. Rotten Slime Ball should be able to be thrown at other players and at self with very low damage.
9. Potions do nothing currently, currently changing them entirely If I can figure it out.
10. Potions have new names.
11. New "Rot & Stink" effect. Can be cleared by going fully underwater.
Updating to version 1.0.3:
1. Rotten Food Item added; used to create rotten pile; should use this item instead of rotten pile for spoiled mod.
2. Every time the player wakes up, they have a 10% chance of getting "Rot & Stink" requiring them to submerge in water to remove the effect.
3. BioStill block recipe added.
4. BioStill block texture created and added.
Updating to version 1.0.4:
1. Slime thrown at a player will give the target the Stink effect for ~25 seconds
2. Slime now has 10% chance of applying Stink effect permanently when throw at player another player. Requiring them to go underwater to "bathe" and "wash" off the stink.
(Acts like a way to "cover" someone in enough slime to make them stinky if you continuously throw them)
3. Due to the new slime throwing mechanic, the potions have been temporarily removed as they were going to basically be stink bombs. They will come back later.
4. Updated GUI in BioStill for non-colored images (Water Bucket slot image looked like a real item)
5. Fixed procedure for biofuel in BioStill that mistakenly required 9 in the top slot but only takes 8 for the recipe.
6. Fixed time of effect on players who received the Stink effect upon waking up from 10 seconds to infinite. (I believe I forgot to save and had the base tick time lol)
7. Added a server config file for the Bathing mechanic when players sleep and wake up. If set to false, players will no longer have a chance to get the infinite stink effect when they wake up.
Updating to version 1.0.5
1. Fixes chance of stink on wake-up from 100% to 10% (left on testing stuff sorry)
2. Removed hidden potion file I unhid and then forgot to delete.
