About
Description
Ruby Mod adds rubies to Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge 47+). You can mine them, craft with them, and use them to build a very large explosive.
Features
Ruby Ore
- Generates in the Overworld in both stone and deepslate, from y=-64 to y=72.
- It's slightly rarer than iron, and it's most common around y=4.
- You need an iron pickaxe or better to mine it.
- It drops Rubies and gives XP when mined. Fortune increases the drops, and Silk Touch drops the ore block itself.
Ruby
- A new gem you get from ruby ore.
- Craft 4 rubies into a Block of Ruby, or break a block back down into 4 rubies.
Ruby Sword
- Diamond-tier damage and durability, with a texture based on the vanilla sword.
- Craft it like any other sword: 2 rubies stacked above a stick.
Ruby Nuke
- A powerful TNT-style explosive, crafted from Blocks of Ruby and gunpowder.
- It has a custom block model, a primed entity and blast effects.
- Be careful with it. It's very destructive.
Creative Tab
- All items are in their own Ruby Mod creative tab.
Recipes
| Item | Pattern |
|---|---|
| Block of Ruby | 4 Rubies in a 2×2 square |
| Ruby (×4) | 1 Block of Ruby, shapeless |
| Ruby Sword | Ruby, Ruby, Stick (vertical) |
| Ruby Nuke | Ruby Block in each corner, Gunpowder in the other five slots |
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.0 or newer
Installation
Put the .jar in your mods folder. Ruby ore only generates in newly explored chunks, so explore new terrain or create a new world to find it.
Notes
- It works on both the client and the server. Install it on both for multiplayer.
- You can add it to existing worlds.
