Anvil Rework, Modular Rune Sockets & Kinetic Mending Overhaul

Runic Crucible banishes the frustrating "Too Expensive!" (Level 39) anvil lock from existence, introduces a balanced 2–5 runic socket system based on equipment tier, enables non-destructive enchantment extraction with the Inscription Chisel, and transforms Mending from an AFK mob-grinder chore into an active gameplay reward.

✨ Key Features

🔨 1. Banishment of "Too Expensive!"

• The rigid Level 39 anvil cap is eliminated. Repair, combine, or rename your equipment at any level if you have the XP!
• Fair Material-Based Repair Costs: Base repair costs are normalized by material tier rather than spiraling out of control:
  • 🪵 Wood / Leather / Gold: 2 Levels
  • 🪨 Stone / Chainmail: 3 Levels
  • ⛓️ Iron / Copper: 4 Levels
  • 💎 Diamond: 5 Levels
  • 🔥 Netherite: 7 Levels
• Prior-Work Penalty Cap: Configurable ceiling (default 20 levels) prevents godly items from becoming irreparably expensive.
• Flat 1-Level Renaming: Renaming items in an anvil always costs a flat 1 level.

🔮 2. The Runic Crucible Workstation

• Indestructible Anvil: Forged from Crying Obsidian, Amethyst, and Polished Deepslate. Never cracks, chips, or degrades.
• Tiered Runic Sockets: Every weapon, tool, and armor piece features modular runic sockets:
  • 🪵 Wood / Leather / Gold: 2 Sockets
  • 🪨 Stone / Chainmail / Copper: 2 Sockets
  • ⛓️ Iron: 3 Sockets
  • 💎 Diamond: 4 Sockets
  • 🔥 Netherite: 5 Sockets
  • 🪽 Elytra / Artifacts: 4 Sockets
• Dynamic Tooltips: Equipment shows active sockets and empty slots with clean formatting:

✒️ 3. Inscription Chisel & Safe Rune Extraction

• Rune Inscription: Place equipment in offhand and an Inscribed Rune Slate in mainhand with Lapis Lazuli to embed the rune without inflating vanilla anvil work penalties.
• Safe Extraction: Place equipment in offhand and an Inscription Chisel in mainhand with a Blank Rune Slate and Lapis Lazuli to safely recover the rune back into a slate without destroying or damaging your equipment.

⚡ 4. Kinetic Mending Overhaul

• Active Gameplay Repair: Say goodbye to standing for hours at mob grinders:
  • ⚔️ Weapons: Attacking and slaying hostile mobs restores 3 to 6 durability points immediately.
  • ⛏️ Tools: Mining ores and natural blocks restores 2 to 4 durability points.
  • 🛡️ Armor: Absorbing incoming combat damage restores durability to worn pieces.
• Intelligent EXP Siphon: When collecting EXP orbs, only the exact amount needed to repair missing durability is consumed (1 XP = 2 durability). Surplus XP passes directly into your level bar!
