About
Description
Adds an entire chain of unique and immersive processes to create powerful but vanilla tools.
Heat ingots in the Copper Forge or the Core Forge.
-Fire up the forge by clicking it with charcoal briquettes.
-Put in the ingot to heat it, but watch out, the hot ingot will burn you if held, unless you are equipped with gloves or tongs.
-The Copper Forge is much cheaper, but slower and can only heat copper.
-The Core Forge is faster, cooler looking, and even gives a quality bonus to any tool crafted out of ingots forged in the depths of the world. The deeper you go, the better the bonus.
Hammer the ingots into tools at the Stone Anvil or Anvil.
-Hold the hammer in the offhand and ingot in the mainhand, then right-click (or shift-right-click) to open the menu.
-Click the cells to progressively hammer out that cell, until you have shaped the material to fit the tool you want to make. But be careful, you will ruin the ingot if you try to craft the wrong shape.
-Use an iron hammer at an iron anvil for a quality bonus.
Click on a filled Wooden Basin or a filled cauldron to cool it.
-Optionally reheat the tool and cool it again to temper.
-Gain a quality bonus with each temper, and an even bigger bonus if done at a cauldron.
Sharpen the tool at a grindstone
-Right-click a grindstone with a single incomplete tool to upgrade it to a forged tool.
-Forged tools cannot break, and instead become useless at 1 durability.
-Forged tools keep their base repair cost, and never get more expensive to repair.
-Tools have better stats with better quality.
--0 quality is roughly half as good as vanilla
--8 quality is near vanilla
--With vanilla worldgen, 11 is the maximum possible quality, being about 20% better than a vanilla tool.
--With deeper worldgen, Core Forge depth bonuses can bring you up to 24, well over double the stats of a vanilla tool.
--(Perhaps you could download my other mod, which changes worldgen, or play my modpack to see all these features playing nice together)
Anvil hammering shapes (position doesn't matter, just shape):

hoe (for whatever reason (like, the quality system doesn't change anything about it, but if you want a +24 quality netherite hoe, go off, queen)):

This is my first mod, and is definitely not complete.
Feedback is super appreciated.
