This mod port https://modrinth.com/mod/salt to fabric 1.20.1

Note that we currently does not support food from other mods for salting. It will be added in the next version.

Salt adds a food salting mechanic, as well as several other features and blocks.

Description

  • Food can now be salted to improve the taste and add nutrition.
  • Salting recipe is dynamic and controlled by "salt:can_be_salted" tag:
  • Several mods, such as Farmer's Delight, are supported out of the box.
  • Nutrition value can be configured per food.

Rock Salt

  • Rock Salt will generate underground (sililar to ores) in dripstone caves, ocean and beach biomes.
  • When harvested, Rock Salt Ore will drop Raw Rock Salt, which is crafted into Salt.
  • Salt can be also obtained by growing Salt Crystals or by evaporating water in a cauldron.

Other features

  • All Salt blocks are dissolvable in water.
  • Salt blocks will melt adjacent ice and snow blocks.
  • Ice and snow can also be melted by sprinkling them with salt.
  • The mod is highly configurable:
    • Tags are used for everything.
    • All features can be turned off in a config.
