Salt Ore Mod

This mod adds a new salt ore that can be found exclusively in ocean biomes, as well as stone shores and beaches. All current uses of Salt are listed below.

Salting meats

crafting together 2 pieces of salt with one piece of cooked meat will create a salted variant of the meat. Salted meats give extra saturation, and while inflicted with it, will cure the weakness potion effect on a player. Salted meats can be used on wolves for healing and breeding.

Salt Blocks

Salt can be crafted 4x4 in a crafting table to create salt blocks. Useful for compact storage, and makes for an aesthetic decoration block.

Villager Trading

Salt and salted meats can now be traded with butcher villagers.

Additional Item Crafting

Salt can be crafted with one piece of charcoal to create gunpowder, making amassing large quantities of gunpowder more feasible. Salt also replaces sugar in the crafting of fermented spider eyes.

More additions to this mod may come, but for the most part it is feature complete.
