About
Description
SANvalue introduces a Sanity (SAN) system into Minecraft.
Your SAN level changes dynamically based on various conditions, creating a new layer of psychological survival.
-
How Sanity Works
-
Darkness Effects – Staying in dark areas will lower your SAN, while light sources help stabilize it.
-
Mob Influence – Hostile mobs drain SAN. (Friendly mob effects are not yet implemented, but in the future being near cats will help restore SAN.)
-
Health Impact – Taking heavy damage or being at very low HP causes significant SAN loss.
-
Campfire Rest – Sneaking near a campfire allows slow SAN recovery, offering a safe way to regain composure.
-
Items & Potions – Unique flowers and ingredients found in new biomes can be brewed into potions to restore or stabilize SAN.
-
Configurable System – All SAN gain/loss values can be customized in the config, letting you adjust the challenge and atmosphere.
Effects of Low Sanity
When your SAN drops too low, you may experience:-
Screen shaking and narrowed vision
-
Debuffs such as Slowness or Weakness
-
(Planned) Hallucinations and other strange effects in future updates
SANvalue adds a new survival challenge—where you must not only battle hunger and monsters, but also the fragility of your own mind.
