First we Saul then we Ascension! - please_rember_to_add_name.text

What even is this?

Sauling of Ascension (or SOA for short) is a total conversion mod (kinda), think of it like TerraFirmaCraft meets GTNH (but 10 times as cursed and a little bit scuffed)

SOA is also a compilation (and rework) of most of my (mostly unreleased) mods!

A cave with some hops and a cobblestone alloy forge inside of it An example of an early game base in SOA, with a cobblestone alloy forge and some hops growing

SOA completely changes some stuff like...

  • Early game progression you now need to get a flint knife to cut grass, get hops seeds and create your own alloy forge!
  • The Enchanting Table can be obtained earlier, now using amethyst and deepslate!
  • Flint and steel now needs actual steel to be made
  • The nether and the end are inaccessible, instead you go to other dimensions like the moon and the pain realm
  • Sleeping now no longer skips the night!

However, unlike other mods which overhaul the game and makes the early game more difficult SOA focuses more on fun and satisfying progression rather than tedious grind and annoying difficulty

A nice looking house with a machine inside A working ore crushing system, the raw ores are inputted in the barrel, crushed by the crusher and then smelted in the blast furnace

Create wacky machines!

SOA also adds a whole tech based branch of progression, allowing you to create your own mean dream magic box machines (with some amount of automation)!

Some machines that you may make in SOA are...

  • The pulveriser crusher, used to double your ores by turning them into dust!
  • The Alloy Forge, used to make alloys by combining 2 different types of ingots!
  • The Cystal Growth Chamber, used to duplicate stuff like redstone

Fight over 5 Bosses and Events!

SOA adds a ton of bosses and events to keep you busy

such as...

Lord pork, the king of all pigs

0ba-M4 and it's creator Jerm M. Jerryson, President of the USS

Dave, The Master of Homelessness

Avatar of Agony, the final boss and goal of SOA!

and 2 events, where mobs fall from the sky and attack you!

Mod Compatibility and recommendations

Due to all of the changes that SOA does to the game not many mods are compatible with it!

However... some may be, if a mod does not add any worldgen or any content other then QOL then it should be compatible, But I would still recommend being careful when using other content mods with SOA

It's also recomended to play with JEI and Just Enough Resources!
