Scarborough Fair

Scarborough Fair adds a floating-island dimension built from vanilla Minecraft systems: End-shaped terrain filled with real Overworld biomes and their content.

Scarborough Fair 0.2.0 floating islands

What you get

  • Vanilla End floating-island geometry over open void.
  • Vanilla Overworld multi_noise biome selection.
  • Overworld surfaces, caves, ores, vegetation, mob spawns, and structures supplied by the selected biome.
  • Normal Overworld sky, daylight, weather, beds, and respawn anchors for dimension gameplay.
  • Compatibility with other mods that add content through existing Overworld biomes.

The mod does not register replacement biomes or duplicate Overworld features. Its small chunk-generator adapter only joins Minecraft's End terrain density with Minecraft's Overworld biome and surface systems.

Dimension and configuration

Dimension ID: scarborough_fair:scarborough_fair

The only common option is:

[spawn]
defaultSpawnInDimension = false

Set it to true to place first-time players on a safe Scarborough Fair island and set their personal respawn point there.

Install the mod on both client and server.

Upgrading from 0.1.x

Version 0.2.0 changes the dimension generator and removes the old custom biome registry. Back up the world, then delete:

dimensions/scarborough_fair/scarborough_fair

before opening the world with 0.2.0 so the dimension regenerates cleanly.
