Screenshot Waypoints 📸

Automatically geotag your Minecraft screenshots with:

• Coordinates (X/Y/Z)
• Biome
• Dimension
• Camera angle (Yaw/Pitch)
• World / server name
• Timestamp

The mod also includes an in-game Screenshot Gallery to browse screenshots and quickly access/copy location data.

Features ✨

• Automatic geotagging when taking a screenshot.
• Two storage modes:
  • PNG (recommended): stores metadata inside the screenshot as a PNG text chunk (iTXt/tEXt).
  • JSON: stores metadata as a sidecar file next to the screenshot (.png + .json).
  • Screenshot Gallery:
    • Preview selected screenshots
    • Show geotag info (biome, dimension, coords, yaw/pitch, timestamp, server/world)
    • Copy coordinates to clipboard
    • Open screenshots folder
    • Rename screenshots (renames the sidecar too in JSON mode)
    • Filtering by date range, world/server, biome
  • Mod Menu config screen (if Mod Menu is installed).
  • Fully localized UI (English + Russian).

How to use 🎮

• Take screenshots: press Minecraft’s default screenshot key (F2).
• Open the gallery: use the mod’s keybind (configurable in Controls).
• Copy coords / open folder: use the buttons at the bottom of the gallery.

Configuration ⚙️

You can configure what metadata is written and where it is stored:

• Storage mode: PNG or JSON
• Enable/disable writing:
  • Coordinates
  • Yaw/Pitch
  • Biome
  • Dimension
  • World/server name
  • Gallery entry limit (max screenshots shown)

If Mod Menu is installed, you can open the config screen from the Mods menu.

Notes / Privacy 🔐

This mod stores your in-game location inside screenshots (either embedded in the PNG or in a .json file).

• If you share screenshots publicly, be aware that coordinates may be included.
• You can disable individual fields (coords/biome/etc.) in the config.

FAQ ❓

Why does the gallery show “No geotag data” for old screenshots?

Only screenshots taken after installing/enabling the mod will have metadata. For older screenshots, you can retake them or keep them untagged.

Which storage mode should I use?

• Use PNG if you want a single self-contained image file.
• Use JSON if you prefer external metadata files or want easy manual editing.
