Description
A hackneyed little MCreator mod I threw together that I personally plan to use in just about all my future modpacks. Up on curseforge so you can use it too if you want.
Second Wind adds one item, the Second Wind Bottle, which can be crafted later in the game, but you also get one of for free the first time you right-click on a bed.
The Second Wind is an item with a 10-minute cooldown and no durability that will give the user Haste II for 2.5 minutes when used, and will not be consumed.
The cooldown is per-player, not per item, so making extra is only useful if you lose your first one.
Basically, I've played Minecraft before, and most people playing a modpack have also, and speeding up mining in the early-game just gets you to the new stuff faster, but as an added benefit, it also encourages players to vary their gameplay a little more - You can absolutely still do multi-hour mining trips, but once that haste effect's on cooldown it's a convenient time to unload what you've dug up at home anyway.
There is an exploit that allows players to skip the cooldown, however it's annoying enough to do that I don't think many players would do it even if they knew how, and I don't feel like fixing it, so I'm not gonna explain it here, because if something in a mod isn't documented, it might as well not exist. ;)
FAQ:
Q: Is this balanced?
A: Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Maybe a little?
Q: Will you update it to X version?
A: If I get enough requests maybe. I don't really personally play more recent versions of Minecraft, and I made this for me, but if it somehow becomes the most popular mod of all time or something and it's not too difficult, I'm willing to maintain it.
Q: MCreator bad. Don't use it
A: Your right to frequently ask questions has been revoked. Please exit the building.
Q: Is there somewhere I can purchase a Minecraft Server remote host which will also pay you specifically a little bit if I use it?
Wow, I had no idea so many people had this question! I'm so lucky to have such loyal fans who ask me this every day. Yes, try this link here: https://bisecthosting.com/POTUS2048
