Description

Sensible Stacks

Stacks that do make sense

Code and idea inspired by Why stacks of 16?

Synopsis

This mod changes how stackable and non-stackable items stack, with balance in mind.

Philosophy and why use this mod

This mod is opinionated, which means it doesn't have that much configuration. It's made to be sensible — you just install the mod and get stacks that make the most sense.

Most things are preconfigured: you can either enable or disable whether an item stacks to 16 (for non-stackables) or if already stackable items stack to 64. The only exception is potions. By default, potions are stackable up to 3 items per stack, because this makes the most sense to me — since you get 3 potions of the same effect from one brew in a brewing stand, and making them stack to a larger size would be somewhat unbalanced. However, since 3 is not a power of two, I made it possible for users to change how much they actually stack.

Compatibility

This mod is compatible with as many other mods as possible — this is simply how it's coded. Potions, Enchanted Books, Music Discs, and other items will stack regardless of which mod they come from.
