Description
Shield Blocks Fall Damage
In this datapack, you can block fall damage by looking downwards and blocking with your shield. This damage blocking can also be customized to block all damage, or some damage.
If you download the bouncy version of this project, you will bounce when you block fall damage with a shield. Make sure you download the required secondary datapack if you want this (listed in the bouncy version).
Config
Setting Shield Fall Damage Reduction
To change the amount of fall damage blocked, do the following command:
/function shieldfall:config/set_shield_fall_damage {value:<insert damage here>}
Where it says , enter the multiplier shield blocking should do to fall damage. Here are some example values:
- 0 is no fall damage
- 0.5 is half fall damage
- 1 is full fall damage (no damage reduction)
Warnings:
- Make sure you do not put the <> symbols in the command.
- values below 0 and above 1 may change the behavior of the shield fall damage blocking in unexpected ways, do it at your own risk!
Setting Config Back to Defaults
To set the config back to the default values, do the following command:
/function shieldfall:config/set_defaults
