About

Description

Simple 3x3 Pickaxe is a lightweight utility mod that upgrades mining efficiency by allowing a special pickaxe to break a 3×3 area of blocks at once instead of a single block. Designed for players who enjoy faster resource gathering without adding complicated systems, this mod keeps the vanilla feel while dramatically improving mining speed and convenience. It is ideal for large digging projects, cave clearing, strip mining, and base construction where breaking blocks one by one would normally take a long time.

The core feature of the mod is a custom pickaxe that activates area mining when used. When the player breaks one block, the tool automatically destroys the surrounding blocks in a 3×3 pattern relative to the mined surface, making tunnels wider and excavation smoother. Block drops remain consistent with normal mining behavior, so ores, stone, and other materials are collected just like standard gameplay. Tool durability is balanced by decreasing based on the number of blocks broken, preventing it from being overpowered while still feeling powerful.

This mod focuses on simplicity and performance. It does not introduce new dimensions, mobs, or complex mechanics. Instead, it enhances a single tool to improve quality of life for survival and building-focused players. The design philosophy is to stay close to vanilla Minecraft while reducing repetitive actions, making it perfect for modpacks centered around construction, automation, survival progression, or large-scale world shaping.

Features included:

  • A custom pickaxe that mines in a 3×3 area
  • Works with normal block drops and mining logic
  • Balanced durability consumption
  • Great for tunnels, quarries, and large builds
  • Lightweight and compatible with most modpacks
  • Keeps the vanilla survival experience but faster
