Description

Chunkloader

Usage:

To load a chunk, simply place the Chunkloader block in the desired chunk.
You should get a message saying that a chunk was loaded.

To unload a chunk, simply break any Chunkloader block in the chunk.
You should get a message saying that a chunk was unloaded.

(Note: You may use any tool, or your fists to break the block)

Additional Usage:

Right Clicking the air while holding the Chunkloader block will tell you the coordinates of the currently loaded chunks.
It will also display the outline of currently loaded chunks in-game using Barrier Particles.

(NOTE: The barrier particles have a draw distance of around 30 blocks it seems, so you will need to be close to the chunk to tell)
(NOTE: Make sure you have particles turned on...)

Recipe:

unknown.png
Using 1 Iron Ingot, 1 Redstone dust, and 7 Glass Blocks, in the arrangement above to craft the chunk loader.

Notes:

-You may break the Chunkloader block with any tool, including fists.

-The barrier particles have a draw distance of around 30 blocks it seems, so you will need to be close to the chunk to tell

-NOTE: Make sure you have particles turned on...

-This mod simply uses the in-game command "forceload add" and "forceload remove", so if for some reason these commands do not work, the mod will not work. (This is done server side, clients do not need OP permissions)

-If you have 2 Chunkloaders in a chunk, and break one, the chunk will be unloaded.
The act of designating a chunk to be loaded only happens upon placing the block, and the act of unloading happens when breaking the block.

Multiple Chunkloader Blocks Examples:

More than 1 block placed:

Breaking a Chunkloader Block:
The Chunk shown below, will be UNLOADED, even though there are chunkloaders in the chunk, since the user already broke a Chunkloader.
