Description

Orbital Wolf Cannon

Summon a pack of buffed tamed wolves on top of you with a fishing rod.

Inspired by FlameFrags' Unstable SMP videos.

How it works

Run the command:

/orbitalstrike wolf <rodCount> <wolfCount>

This gives you some fishing rods. Each rod has 1 durability and is tagged with a wolf count. Right-click a rod and that many wolves spawn at your feet, all owned by you, and the rod breaks.

You can run the command multiple times with different counts so you have a stack of rods loaded with different wolf counts.

Plain 1-durability fishing rods that were not given by the command will not fire the cannon. Only command-given rods are recognised.

Every wolf spawned:

  • is tamed to you
  • wears Wolf Armor
  • has Speed II for 1:30
  • has Strength II for 1:30
  • has Fire Resistance for 3:00
  • is invulnerable for the first 5 seconds so the entity-cramming damage rule does not kill the pack on tick one
  • targets whatever you most recently hit; after the 5 second window vanilla owner-target AI takes over

Loaders

  • NeoForge
  • Fabric
  • Quilt (loads the Fabric jar directly)

Minecraft versions

  • 1.21 through 1.21.11
  • 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2

Installation

  1. Install your loader for the matching Minecraft version.
  2. Drop the matching jar into your mods/ folder.
  3. Test in creative before turning it loose on a server.
