Simple Planes Fixes

Simple Planes Fixes is an unofficial bug-fix and compatibility addon for Simple Planes 3.0.1.7 on Minecraft 1.12.2.

The original 1.12.2 version of Simple Planes contains several broken crafting recipes and optional-mod integrations caused by incorrect item IDs, missing metadata, and compatibility content being registered even when the required mod or materials are unavailable.

This addon repairs those issues while leaving the original Simple Planes jar completely untouched.

What does it fix?

Biomes O' Plenty compatibility

Several Simple Planes recipes for Biomes O' Plenty use item names or metadata that do not match the actual BOP 1.12.2 items.

Simple Planes Fixes restores the intended recipes for supported BOP wood types, including:

• Planes
• Large Planes
• Cargo Planes
• Helicopters

It also fixes the missing metadata that prevented BOP helicopter recipes from loading correctly.

Unsupported aircraft such as the BOP Dead Wood variants are hidden when the required wood components do not actually exist.

Junk Engine recipe

The original Junk Engine recipe references vanilla coal without the metadata required by Forge 1.12.2.

Simple Planes Fixes supplies a corrected recipe so the Junk Engine can be crafted normally.

Optional integration cleanup

Simple Planes registers aircraft for several optional integrations even when those mods are not installed. This can leave large numbers of unusable aircraft visible in JEI and the creative inventory.

Simple Planes Fixes conditionally hides these aircraft when their required materials are unavailable, including:

• Fruit Trees aircraft
• Oh The Biomes You'll Go aircraft
• Unsupported Biomes O' Plenty aircraft
• Crimson and Warped aircraft when compatible backported materials are unavailable

The aircraft items themselves are not unregistered, helping preserve registry and save compatibility.

Crimson and Warped compatibility

The Minecraft 1.12.2 version of Simple Planes contains Crimson and Warped aircraft even though those wood types did not exist in vanilla Minecraft 1.12.2.

Simple Planes Fixes includes conditional compatibility for Future MC. Crimson and Warped recipes are only enabled when the necessary Future MC materials are actually registered.

If the required materials are unavailable, the aircraft are simply hidden instead of appearing as unusable items.

Optional integrations:

• Biomes O' Plenty
• Future MC
• Just Enough Items (JEI)

JEI is not required, but when installed, Simple Planes Fixes removes unavailable integration aircraft from the JEI item list.

Installation

1. Install Simple Planes 3.0.1.7.
2. Place Simple Planes Fixes in the same mods folder.
3. Launch Minecraft normally.

Do not remove or modify the original Simple Planes jar. This project is an addon and requires the original mod.

Scope

The goal of Simple Planes Fixes is to restore functionality that was clearly intended by the original Minecraft 1.12.2 release.

It does not invent substitute recipes for integrations that are not installed. If an optional mod or required material is unavailable, its corresponding aircraft are hidden instead of being given unrelated crafting recipes.
