Simple Player Freeze – A lightweight, vanilla-compatible datapack that lets you instantly freeze or unfreeze all players on your server.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

❄️ Simple Freeze Datapack
Bypass plugins. Skip mods. Freeze every player instantly — pure vanilla power.
🔎 Summary
Simple Freeze Datapack is a lightweight, fully-vanilla Minecraft datapack that lets server owners instantly freeze or unfreeze all players at once.
It adds two simple functions:
/function simple_freeze:freeze /function simple_freeze:unfreeze
No mods required.
No plugins required.
Compatible with Fabric, Forge, Quilt, Paper, Spigot, and Vanilla servers.
📖 Description
The Simple Freeze Datapack gives you instant control over player movement on your server.
Perfect for events, minigames, announcements, roleplay, or admin control, this datapack lets you stop all players in place with a single function call.
It uses only built-in vanilla commands, making it version-independent, modloader-independent, and extremely lightweight.
🧊 Freeze Players
Use the main freeze function:
/function simple_freeze:freeze
This applies powerful movement-blocking effects to all players:
- Slowness 255 – completely disables walking
- Jump Boost 250 – prevents jumping
- Mining Fatigue 255 – blocks breaking and interacting
Players remain online and visible — but fully immobilized.
🔥 Unfreeze Players
Restore normal gameplay instantly:
/function simple_freeeze:unfreeze
This removes all relevant effects and returns players to normal movement.
