Simple Scythes

After recently starting a farming-centered Hardcore world I noticed there weren't any up-to-date farming scythe mods for Forge so I present to you

Simple Scythes!

Simple Scythes is exactly what it sounds like - it adds scythes of all rarities to the game!

This mod is for all us farming-enjoyers, so don't expect to get a Grim Reaper style weapon with these scythes, they have similar attack stats 

as hoes do!

Basic Info

These scythes were made to be THE tool for farming, they function exactly as hoes do - still able to till the ground and receive the same

enchantments that hoes can such as unbreaking and fortune!

To craft a scythe requires two extra of a given material compared to a hoe, for example a diamond scythe requires 4 diamonds.

To balance the increased material cost, a scythe has 33% more durability than its counterpart hoe would.

Additionally, the scythe will lose 1 durability per crop destroyed.

This mod works for all vanilla crops, and should work with any crop mod as long as that mod has coded their crops

to be tagged as "crops" - it's compatible with Farmers Delight crops and Farmers Delight addon crops!

What does a scythe do?

On top of being able to till the ground, the main feature of the scythe is that it will harvest (destroy) all crops in a 3x3 area around

the targeted crop when right-clicking! This will greatly increase the efficiency of collecting crops when grown!

Not only does the scythe clear crops in one fell swoop, but to encourage the farming lifestyle it will also drop a small amount

of XP when used!

Additional Features

Is a 3x3 area not good enough for you? Well good news! This mod also includes a new enchantment exclusively for the scythe!

Reaper (I, II, III) is an enchantment you can find with an enchanting table that increases the range of the right-click

harvest ability of the scythe!

Reaper I - The scythe will now destroy four additional crops, one in each direction from the center.

Reaper II - Adding to Reaper I, the scythe now destroys 8 more crops, one on either side of the four added in Reaper I.

Reaper III - Continuing to add to the previous enchants, the scythe will destroy four more additional crops, now destroying

an area of 5x5 around the targeted crop!

Additionally there are three achievements added to the game in relation to scythes, each giving some XP as a reward!
