This mod is part of a line called 'Simply', a collection of simple mods that affect the game in simple but considerable ways.
With numerous mods such as apotheosis, heart canisters, and cyclic around, hearts can easily ascend far past the vanilla amount, with many players even being able to obtain hundreds of hearts. The vanilla void is no longer effective and one can usually teleport or fly out of it with plenty of hearts to spare...
Well this mod aims to change that! Now when you face the void, survival is nearly impossible unless you have an item or ability that grants immunity to void damage. Even if you are playing on vanilla or with only a couple of other mods, Faithful Void can still greatly enhance the experience of falling into the void! It also adds a cool new sound to fill the awkward empty silence and to add to the immersion!
A full list of technical changes can be viewed below:
- Deals 1 million damage to attempt to instakill players and entities upon falling into the void
- Adds a cool sound when players/entities come into contact with the void
- Has built-in support for Void Totems for reliable recovery and an option besides instant death
