Description

SkillProgression is a NeoForge 1.21.1 RPG progression mod that rewards players for playing the game naturally. Almost every major activity has its own skill, XP bar, level, and bonus system.

Level up by mining ores, chopping trees, farming crops, fishing, hunting animals, fighting mobs, brewing potions, enchanting gear, building, exploring, trading, sailing, eating food, surviving damage, and more.

Each skill progresses separately up to level 100 and unlocks bonuses such as faster mining, better drops, improved food benefits, extra health, better potion duration, faster climbing, stronger archery, boat speed, and other quality-of-life rewards.

The mod includes:

  • Per-player persistent skill data
  • /skills GUI with icons, levels, XP, progress bars, and active bonuses
  • Craftable Skill Book to open the skills menu
  • Action bar XP notifications
  • Level-up sounds and particles
  • Server config options for XP rewards, skill enabling, XP curve, and bonuses
  • Anti-cheese protections for placed blocks and repeatable exploits

SkillProgression is designed for survival servers and long-term worlds where players want meaningful progression without leaving the vanilla Minecraft feel behind.
