sloptimizer

optimizes minecraft's startup time and resource reload time by rewriting the solidify filter (in rust :rocket:). fixes the long aah pause near 100% on the loading screen. requires java 25

disclaimer: you probably don't need this mod unless you're playing with 512x512+ textures or have a lot of content mods installed. this mod's mostly a learner project on JNI/FFM, made for myself. it probably doesn't hurt to have, though :)

benchmarks

solidifying all the cutout textures while Clayful 512x is loaded, using RedHat OpenJDK 25:

QSolidify.solidify:   min: 63.543ms,  max: 70.854ms,  avg: 64.092ms
TextureUtil.solidify: min: 230.498ms, max: 250.122ms, avg: 236.831ms

solidifying all the default textures, using RedHat OpenJDK 25:

QSolidify.solidify:   min: 17.928ms, max: 24.922ms, avg: 18.050ms
TextureUtil.solidify: min: 41.977ms, max: 71.093ms, avg: 43.295ms
