🛡️ Smart Totem

Smart Totem is a lightweight, "Quality of Life" mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 that improves how the Totem of Undying works. Tired of always having to occupy your off-hand with a totem just to feel safe? With Smart Totem, you can reclaim your off-hand for torches, shields, or maps. As long as you have a Totem of Undying anywhere in your inventory, it will automatically trigger to save your life!

✨ Features:

  • Automatic Activation: The totem works from any inventory slot (including the hotbar).
  • Vanilla Feel: Retains all original animations, sounds, and potion effects.
  • Hands-Free Safety: Keep your hands free for tools, weapons, or blocks.
  • Lightweight: Minimal impact on performance, designed with clean code.

🛠️ How it works:

When you take fatal damage, the mod searches your inventory for a Totem of Undying. If found, it consumes the item and applies the classic "undying" effect exactly as the vanilla game does.
