About

Description

Smart Entity Optimizer is a client-side Fabric performance mod designed to improve FPS in entity-heavy areas without changing gameplay.

The mod works by checking nearby entities and deciding how important each one is to render smoothly. Entities close to the player, in front of the camera, near the crosshair, hostile mobs, projectiles, bosses, and players are kept fully smooth. Less important entities, like far-away passive mobs, dropped items, armor stands, or entities behind the player, can have their animation/render update rate reduced to save performance.

This does not change server-side behavior. Entity AI, movement, hitboxes, attacks, pathfinding, damage, and interactions stay the same. The mod only changes how often certain visual updates are processed on your client.

Smart Entity Optimizer also uses an adaptive system. If your FPS drops below your target FPS, the mod increases optimization strength. If your FPS becomes stable again, it slowly reduces optimization so the game looks smoother when extra performance is not needed.

It is made to work alongside other popular performance mods. Sodium can handle faster rendering, Lithium can optimize game logic, FerriteCore can reduce memory usage, and Entity Culling can stop hidden entities from rendering. Smart Entity Optimizer focuses on reducing unnecessary entity animation and visual update work, especially in crowded areas like mob farms, villages, servers, item piles, and armor stand displays.

Dependencies:

  • Fabric Loader

  • Fabric API

Optional but recommended:

  • Sodium

  • Lithium

  • FerriteCore

  • ImmediatelyFast

  • ModernFix

  • Entity Culling

  • Mod Menu

  • Cloth Config

Mod Menu and Cloth Config are optional, but they make it easier to edit settings in-game. Without them, the mod can still run using its config file.

Recommended settings include target FPS, optimization strength, maximum optimization distance, debug overlay, and options to ignore players or hostile mobs. This lets players choose between better visuals, better FPS, or a balanced mode.

Smart Entity Optimizer is best for players who lose FPS around mobs, villagers, farms, item drops, armor stands, or crowded multiplayer areas. It is lightweight, client-side only, and built to improve performance without breaking normal Minecraft gameplay.
