Soft Cushions

Cushions look soft — now they act like it too. Land on one while falling and you'll take half the fall damage you normally would, exactly like landing on a bed.

Features

Falling onto a Cushion reduces fall damage by 50%. Damage is reduced, not removed — you can still die from a big enough fall, just like bed-clutching in vanilla. No new items, blocks, or recipes — purely a behavior tweak. Server-side only. Works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers — players connecting without the mod still see it work correctly, since the server handles the math.

⚡ Extremely lightweight

This is about as small as a mod gets — one file of code, nothing else. No configs, no extra assets, no background processing, no performance cost. If you're picky about mod bloat, this won't add any.

Compatibility

Requires Fabric Loader + Fabric API. Built for Minecraft 26.3-snapshot-3 and later 26.3 snapshots.

Notes

This targets a brand-new Minecraft feature (Cushions were only just added). Future snapshots may change how Cushions work, which could require an update.
