Description
Sons of The Graveyard
Adds compatibility between The Graveyard and Sons of Sins
Description
Every sanctuary you loot leaves a mark.
Sons of The Graveyard replaces Sons of Sins' ritual-based summoning with something that grows out of your own exploration. Visit a Haunted House, a Crypt, some Ruins, a Lich Prison โ nothing happens the first few times. But the dread accumulates, quietly, and eventually announces itself.
Features:
- A hidden "dread" gauge tracks how many Graveyard sanctuaries you've disturbed
- Escalating unease as the gauge rises โ distinct audio cues at each threshold, felt only by the player accumulating it
- At the breaking point, one of the seven Sins emerges and comes looking for you specifically โ not a random encounter, a consequence
- Combat music kicks in the moment the creature lands its first hit, audible to every nearby player โ your whole group knows someone's in trouble
- Sons of Sins' original blood-sacrifice ritual is quietly retired in favor of this โ no content removed, just no longer the way these creatures answer a summons
Requires both The Graveyard and Sons of Sins to be installed. Neither mod is modified โ Sons of The Graveyard listens from the outside and never touches their code directly.
Built for a personal modpack (Cryptic Life) but designed to be generic โ no assumptions about your pack's theme beyond "these two mods are both installed."
Commands
All commands require operator permission โ these are admin/testing tools, not player-facing features. The dread gauge is meant to stay hidden from the player experiencing it.
/dread get <player>
Check a player's current dread gauge value.
Example: /dread get ProtoMehka
/dread set <player> <value>
Set a player's dread gauge to a specific value (0-100).
Useful for testing thresholds without replaying the accumulation manually.
Example: /dread set ProtoMehka 50
/dread reset <player>
Reset a player's dread gauge back to zero.
Example: /dread reset ProtoMehka
