About
Description
Dozens of new shields — from wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, obsidian and many modded materials — including massive tower shields with custom 3D models and banner support.
FEATURES
- Basic and Tower shields for every vanilla tool material (and more)
- Tower shields: bigger protection, custom 3D model, banner decoration
- Shield Bash: attack while blocking to shove enemies back
- Three shield enchantments on 1.21's data-driven system: Spikes, Firebrand and Payback
- Obsidian shield: knockback resistance at the cost of speed
- FE-powered shields that absorb damage using energy
- Compat shield recipes (Mekanism, Botania, Thermal...) automatically enable when those mods return to 1.21
THE REVIVAL
This is an unofficial continuation of Spartan Shields by ObliviousSpartan (https://github.com/ObliviousSpartan/SpartanShields, 9M+ downloads, Apache-2.0 license), last released for 1.20.1 — fully migrated to NeoForge 1.21.1 in response to the community's update requests. All credit for the mod's design, models and textures goes to ObliviousSpartan. A Fabric edition may come later if there is demand.

The revival
This is an unofficial continuation of Spartan Shields by ObliviousSpartan (9M+ downloads, Apache-2.0), last released for 1.20.1 — ported to NeoForge 1.21.1 in response to the community's update requests. The port was a full migration: data-driven enchantments, component-based banners and energy, the new recipe codec system and the NeoForge payload network. All credit for the mod's design, models and textures goes to ObliviousSpartan. A Fabric edition may come later if there is demand.
