It optimizes particles and chunks, and adds multithreaded ticking for particles.

It adds culling for chests, ender chests, trapped chests, shulker boxes, barrels, the items inside them, and much more!

One of its key features is beautiful, optimized lighting.

And unfortunately, beta versions won't work with Sodium at first.

Also, the lighting from this mod may not work with certain resource packs, other lighting mods, or shaders.

Try firing a fire arrow and a regular spectral arrow from the bow (this is my favorite).

If you are using resource packs or shaders that significantly lower your FPS, I recommend changing the VRAM setting from 8192 to 3500 and the maximum number of new particles per tick to 100–150. Also, adjust the particle distance culling from 6 chunks to 3–4. This should significantly boost your FPS; as a last resort, enable multi-threaded particle ticking—it will provide at least a small FPS increase. Also, if a shader or resource pack affects Minecraft's lighting, don't forget to completely disable the lighting added by the mod.
