Description

Note that other than the idea of improving health based on the range of food eaten, most content is original.
Why Change the Original?
The Spice of Life mod was an amazing, original idea that made eating a wide variety of food actually worthwhile. However, I felt that it fell a bit short in its implementation. By only tracking unique foods eaten, there is no incentive to eat any specific food item more than once. Players still use one optimal food to keep their hunger bar full, only crafting other food items in order to fulfill completion requirements.
What's New?
This overhaul focuses on carrot edition, making benefits harder to achieve but also more rewarding. 5 hunger bars of food are required to get the benefits of an additive health multiplier and, separately, an absorption buff on a full hunger bar. This is refreshed every 5 in-game days (100 minutes), making it necessary to set up a consistent way to craft a wide variety of food.
Compatibility?
This mod should be compatible with most others. Note that the multipliers apply after all other modifiers, meaning that they are affected by potions, commands, and other mods. Please let me know if any issues occur.
