About

Description

This mod adds a single, complex boss known as the "Pillager spy", although this entity is considered a boss its highly different when compared to normal traditional bosses.

Requires Geckolib

Features

Spawning

the pillager spy will attempt to spawn near big villages, if the spy appears in a village that has very few villagers, the entity will immediatly despawn when the proper condition is met the boss will spawn and its proper "battle" will begin.

The battle can be best described in two phases,

Phase 1

During phase 1 the spy will be completly invisible and will not attack the player under most circumstance. In this phase, the pillager will wander randomly periodically casing one of its many abilities that will either disrupt the village or the players in it, whenever the spy is hit, it will teleport away somewhere else random prompting the player to find them again, the only way to track him as of right now is via hearing its living sound, being exactly the same as a normal pillager. The spy posses many abilities and can cast them in two ways: The first way is a "secondary" use, which will only perform the ability and nothing else this secondary means of casting skills is controlled by RNG and has a distinct sound queue, the "primary" way is controlled by a timer meaning these are consistent over time, and have a distinct sound queue as well (goat horn). On top of casting an ability the "primary" skill usage will increase the spy's internal counter by 1, when the internal counter reaches 30, it will call for a raid on its location.

Phase 2 (Normal)

When the pillager spy arrives to approximately half of its health it will begin its phase 2, ditching its invisibility completly the spy will now become a proper boss and will attact the player directly. Be weary for its teleportation magic making it absurdly difficult to track during battle, if by any means the spy manages to recover its health (The spy will recover health upon killing a player, villager, or iron golem) it will return to phase 1 and prompt the player to find it again.

Phase 2 (raid)

if a raid is called by the spy, or happens via any other means the spy will enter its second phase regardless of its current health,  behaving in the exact same way as it would in a normal phase 2. Just with more health

Dependancies

- Requires Geckolib

Special thanks / Credits / Disclaimers

This mod was made using MCreator, if you have anyone to thank its them for allowing me to create this:

This mod is currently on beta: Although ive squashed as many bugs as possible i cant be too sure when creating a mod with such complex behaviors it may cause issues or crashes, be advised.

TO-DO list

- Model and texture update (the one for this release is rather old and could use some upgrades)

- Adding additional skills

- Balance update (The spy may call a raid a bit too fast, and its battle may be a bit too hard)

- Expand on the mod, potentially

If you wish to support me, you can donate to Buy Me A Coffee. Any kind of support is welcome, though not necesary.
