Staff Effects is a datapack that adds various craftable staffs, each granting a different effect.

Crafted by a chain and unique materials, you can obtain staffs like the Staff of Strength, granting Strength I as long as it's held in your offhand. Crafting an Upgrade Rune and imbuing it with lapis and the center material of the staff (must be dropped on the floor together), you can upgrade eligible staffs to their stronger counterparts!

Alongside these beneficial upgrades you can obtain, there are also Cursed Patches, items which apply bothersome status effects regardless of where they are in your inventory. You can use these to prank your friends, challenge yourself, or utilize them!... somehow?

To help you learn the ropes of crafting Staffs and upgrading them, a new Advancements tab has been added to guide you.

The "Staffs" Advancement tab contains new tasks, challenges, and goals to motivate you into crafting all sorts of Staffs and Cursed Patches. Complete them all and have fun with these new additions!

REGARDING THE FUTURE

This datapack will continue to recieve updates, but only to keep it up-to-date with future Minecraft versions or fix bugs. There's a small chance I may come back to this to add minor additions (e.g. more Staffs or Cursed Patches) and an even slimmer chance I port these additions to Fabric or Forge or whatever. (most likely to be fabric as that's the loader i use) Either way, I hope you all enjoy what I've made :)
