Strider657's End Update
No reviews yet
A Java edition mod that overhauls the end with new biomes, structures, blocks, plants, and more.
Includes a large focus on traversing worlds with enhanced world generation, structures, dungeons, and more for players to find unique loot.
General improvements to world generation, such as bug fixes, aesthetic overhauls, or misc additions.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

Description
End Update
An unofficial End Update that turns the End from a barren world into a dimension worth exploring.
Past the central island and the dragon, the vanilla End is one quiet, endless plain. End Update fills that emptiness in — new biomes to cross, ruins to raid, ores to refine, creatures to hunt, and a signature potion that finally lets you take to the skies.
For Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge.
Note: Older versions of this mod also supported 1.21.8, but for newer versions, I do not plan on also supporting 1.21.8 anymore.
Ships with a full in-game wiki (via the free, optional Patchouli mod).

Highlights
- 5 new biomes across the outer islands
- Temples, shrines & outposts to explore and loot
- Two new metal tiers — Enderite & Ambynite — with full tool and armor sets
- Hammers — More powerful axes for battle
- Potion of Void Levitation — flight, gliding, a teleport dash, and more
- The End Cube — a new creature and the source of Endium Dust
- New enchantments — Teleportation & Auto Collect
- A comprehensive in-game guide documenting everything
What's Inside
Biomes
End Forest · Endium Forest · Old Growth Endium Forest · End Jungle · End Spikes — each with its own blocks, plants, and character. Water even pools in ponds and streams out here now.
Structures
Grand End Temples (three variants, a shortcut to Enderite), small End Shrines in safe and unsafe flavors, fortified End Outposts, and lonely End Lamps to light your way.
Materials & Gear
Mine or loot Enderite (top tier) and Ambynite (mid tier), then craft a complete set of tools, Hammers, and armor from each. Refine Endium for the mod's signature potion, and build in Flavolite, the End Stone Pillar, and three full wood sets.
Void Levitation
The Potion of Void Levitation is a full movement toolkit, deliberately balanced so it's freedom of movement, not an overpowered item dominating the game:
- Hold Jump to fly (speed-capped)
- Fall + forward to glide elytra-style
- Void Step key to blink/dash a short distance
- Sneak to dive
- Plus: no fall damage, a void safety net, item & XP magnetism, enderman calm, and a fall-slam shockwave on hard landings
Brew it from a Bottle o' Enchanting and Endium Dust (blaze powder for fuel).
Enchantments
- Teleportation — dropped items teleport back to you (sneak-drop actually to let go)
- Auto Collect — mined blocks go straight to your inventory
The In-Game Guide
Everything above is documented in The End Update Compendium, an illustrated in-game wiki with a category for each part of the mod. Craft it with Book + Ender Pearl or find it in the End Update creative tab.
The guide uses the free, optional Patchouli library mod. End Update runs fine without it — you won't have the book, and a friendly one-time notice will point you to it.
Special credit to the BetterEnd team for the open-source concepts of Flavolite and the Shadow Forest*, which inspired some of the block names and biome aesthetics in this mod.
* The Shadow Forest is planned to be added in 2.2.0 (subject to change).
