About

Description

**Strife and Calamity**
This mod introduces a tireless new foe for players: the **Warfare Spawner**.

**Spawning**
The Warfare Spawner randomly generates within a 2000×2000 square area around the world spawn point. Upon death, it will respawn within the same 2000×2000 range, up to 3 times (configurable in the configuration file before world creation).

**Abilities**
Initially, the Warfare Spawner only hurls projectiles at targets within 100 blocks and generates resource points while advancing difficulty progress. In its early state, it openly reveals its behavior, but soon it unlocks the difficulty ability **"Subnet Mask Protocol"** to conceal its actions. You can use the **Subnet Mask Interferer** to break its cloaking, revealing the Spawner’s behavior and exact coordinates.

Over time, the Warfare Spawner begins to interfere with mob spawning. Creatures within 10,000 blocks may be affected by this interference and gain the **"Beast in the Cage"** effect, falling under its control. Controlled mobs initially only record special targets in their vicinity (typically players; other powerful mobs can be added as special targets via config) and will seek out and attack both special and additional targets.

The Warfare Spawner continuously enhances itself and the mobs under its control:

**Difficulty Abilities** are global upgrades that require sufficient difficulty progress and resource points to unlock. These abilities are permanent—they are not lost upon the Spawner’s death or other events—but they only take effect while the Warfare Spawner is active.

You can use the **Difficulty Display** to check the Spawner’s current difficulty progress, resource points, unlocked abilities, and their effects.

---

**Effects**

- **Beast in the Cage** – Initially scans for recorded special targets within 100 blocks. Every second, it scans for targets within 16 blocks, directing mobs to attack them and recording new special targets. Depending on unlocked difficulty abilities, it may grant bonus health, attack damage, life regeneration, and additional projectile attacks against enemies.

- **Fire of the Burning Cage** – When a mob is a special target, the Beast in the Cage effect transforms into this effect. The mob continuously takes fire damage and is set ablaze.

---

**Items**

- **Spawner Shard** – Dropped with a chance when a mob under the Beast in the Cage effect dies. Used to craft other items.

- **Subnet Mask Interferer** – Crafted from Spawner Shards and Ender Eyes. This device temporarily disables the **Subnet Mask Protocol** difficulty ability, revealing the Spawner’s behavior for a period.

- **Difficulty Display** – Shows current difficulty abilities, progress, and resource points. Currently not craftable (a crafting recipe may be added in future updates).

---

**Future Plans**
We plan to add weapons and tools crafted from Spawner Shards, as well as siege-style mobs created by the Warfare Spawner.
