Description

Sun Panels

Simple solar power for packs that do not need a full tech mod. Place a panel under the sky, run a pipe to your machine, done. Works with anything that accepts Forge Energy (FE/RF).

Solar Panels

  • Glass is fine. Panels need sky light, not empty air, so you can cover them with glass or build them into a greenhouse roof.
  • Follows the sun. Full output in clear daylight, a smooth ramp at dawn and dusk, less in rain and thunder, nothing at night.
  • Pushes power on its own into every adjacent machine or pipe. Nothing can push energy back into a panel.
  • Status screen. Right-click a panel to see stored energy, current output and whether it can see the sky.

  • Connected pipes form one network that carries power over any distance, split evenly between all connected machines.
  • A network moves up to the rate of its slowest pipe, so upgrade the whole line for more throughput.
  • Zero lag: pipes never tick and store nothing. The layout is cached and only rebuilt when a pipe is placed or broken.

Crafting

  • Basic Solar Panel: 3 glass, 2 redstone, daylight detector, 3 iron ingots
  • Advanced Solar Panel: 3 glass panes, 2 redstone blocks, Basic Solar Panel, 3 diamonds
  • Elite Solar Panel: 3 glass, 2 redstone blocks, Advanced Solar Panel, 3 netherite ingots
  • Basic Energy Pipe: 2 iron ingots + redstone in a row, makes 6
  • Advanced Energy Pipe: 8 Basic Pipes around a gold ingot, makes 8
  • Elite Energy Pipe: 8 Advanced Pipes around a diamond, makes 8

Recipes use common c: tags, so modded glass and ingots work too.

Install on both client and server. English and Russian translations.
