SUNLIGHT

Sunlight is an optimized directional lighting mod that darkens and lightens the faces of blocks and entities depending on their facing direction to celestial and environmental light sources, and includes procedural normal mapping based on pixel color.

FEATURES

The Overworld

The Overworld includes directional light for the sun and moon, colored lighting for sunrise and sunset, cloud “shadows” casting over the landscape, and moon phase brightness. #The Nether The Nether has light from lava sources projecting a glow onto the ceiling of the Nether, with a moving lava-river-like texture being projected on faces and entities. #The End The End adds my own custom animated Black Hole skybox addition that slowly rotates and slowly orbits The End, and adds my own custom End flashes that light up the End.

COMPATIBILITIES

Sunlight is compatible with every known mod and has a system to detect custom dimensions with valid celestial light sources. Sunlight is also compatible with Sable Physics objects! (Be aware: light may also peek into enclosed physics bodies in some dimensions; that's a bug I'm working on.)
