Superpowers By Skipz brings powers inspired by DC, Marvel, Invincible and My Hero Academia into Minecraft. Open portals, control the wind, copy another player’s appearance or turn incoming damage into electricity. Built around Palladium, each power has its own playstyle, with more planned for future updates.

Spend experience levels to unlock abilities and upgrades through Palladium’s skill trees. Find powerful equipment, craft catalysts or earn your powers through exploration and gameplay.

Current powers and how to get them

Sideways — Create linked rifts that players and mobs can travel through, save destinations and upgrade how long your portals stay open. Craft and consume a Rift Catalyst.

Nova — Take flight, fire energy blasts and use defensive shields. Unlock faster flight and improve your energy reserves through the skill tree. Find a Nova Corps Helmet at a rare meteorite structure and equip it. You keep your own skin beneath the helmet.

Flashtime — Create a time-dilation bubble that slows entities and projectiles, including arrows in mid-air. Upgrade its radius from 10 to 50 blocks and unlock near-frozen time. Hold sneak and the ability key while scrolling to adjust the slowdown; stronger settings consume more energy. Craft and consume a Chronal Catalyst.

Doctor Fate — Use magical bolts, protective wards, healing, teleportation and telekinesis under Nabu’s guidance. Find the Helmet of Fate, which has a 3% chance per desert-temple chest, and equip it. The helmet stays bound until you’ve mastered every ability. Your own skin remains visible.

Etrigan — Become the demon with enhanced strength, durability, hellfire attacks and powerful leaps. Craft and consume a Demon Catalyst, then say this in chat:

“Gone, gone the form of man, rise the demon Etrigan!”

To return, say:

“Gone now, O Etrigan, and rise again the form of man!”

Matter-Eater Lad — Eat items, tunnel through blocks and bite enemies to restore hunger. Unlock buffs based on what you eat, along with faster eating. Craft and consume a Bismollian Catalyst.

Red Tornado — Assemble an android body and use turbine flight, pressure blasts, steerable cyclones, air shields and self-repair. Craft and activate a Morrow Cyclonic Core.

Beast Boy — Scan mobs, save them in a searchable database and transform into green-tinted forms with their stats and supported abilities, including flight. Craft and consume a Changeling Serum. Modded mobs are supported, although unusual renderers and custom abilities may need compatibility adjustments.

Animal Channeling — Inspired by Vixen and Animal Man, borrow a mob’s strengths and supported abilities without transforming. Flying creatures grant flight, and a coloured aura reflects the animal you’re channelling. Tame 100 different wolves to earn an Animal Totem, then consume it to gain the power.

Deadman / Possession — Become a ghost that can fly and phase through walls. Possess mobs and players to interact with the world, access a host’s inventory and temporarily borrow a possessed player’s Palladium powers and unlocked abilities. Possession drains energy, with upgrades available in the skill tree. Craft and consume a Soul Talisman. Outside possession, you remain in spirit form and can manage your own inventory, but cannot interact with the world normally.

One For All — Use Full Cowling, powerful smashes, ranged pressure attacks and enhanced leaps. Pass the power to another player to strengthen its stockpile with each generation. Once you pass it on, you cannot regain it—even from another wielder. Craft and consume a Legacy Spark to begin a new lineage, or inherit the power from its current owner.

Shapeshifter — Remember players you meet and save their appearances in a face library. Take on a remembered player’s skin and displayed name, including in standard Minecraft chat. Craft and consume a Mimic Catalyst. Disguises change your appearance, not your equipment, powers or account permissions.

Cosmic Staff — Wield cosmic blasts, focused beams, protective shields and flight with a golden trail. Find a Cosmic Staff resting at a meteor crash site and right-click it to claim it. Keep it in your hotbar to access its powers.

Duplicate — Create doubles that follow you, defend you and fight alongside you. Direct them towards a target, call them back or unlock Sad Man’s Parade for a larger squad. Inspired by Twice from My Hero Academia. Craft and consume a Double Catalyst.

Statue — Hold the ability key to become an invincible statue with a translucent stone coating. You cannot move, attack or be carried, but gravity still applies. Release the key to return to normal, and upgrade your energy capacity to stay petrified for longer. Craft and consume a Statue Catalyst.

Powerplex — Absorb physical impacts and store their energy, then release it through electrical attacks. Fire branching Arc Bolts from your hand, unleash Full Discharge or launch yourself with Recoil Leap. More stored charge means stronger attacks, but waiting around won’t recharge you. Craft and consume a Bio-Thermal Disc.

Resurrection Man — Every death changes your next life. Die from drowning and return with underwater breathing; die from fire next and trade that protection for fire resistance. Only your latest adaptation remains. Second Nature changes with it, granting abilities such as swimming bursts, heat pulses, cleansing or projectile defence. Craft and consume a Tektite Serum. Normal respawn and inventory-drop rules still apply.

Compress - Capture living entities in 'Compressed Marbles', players are held for 30 seconds in a pocket dimension and must complete a puzzle to escape early.

Additional equipment

Legion Flight Ring — A simple way to take to the skies without unlocking a full power. Craft it with four gold ingots around a feather, then equip it in a Curios ring slot to gain Palladium flight.

Getting started

Once you’ve gained a power, open Palladium’s power menu to bind its abilities and browse its upgrades. Powers keep their own progression. Nova and Doctor Fate both use the helmet slot, so only one can be worn at a time.

All mod items are available in the creative menu and support Just Enough Items (JEI) for browsing recipes.

• Curios API 5.14.1 or newer in the 5.x series

Install the same version of Superpowers By Skipz and its required dependencies on both the server and every client. JEI is optional.
