Magnetic Tools Datapack

This datapack is based on the excellent work by webdiamond, original Magnet datapack.
I'm very thankful for their inspiration — and if you're looking for a simpler version with easier crafting, I definitely recommend checking it out!

This version introduces two custom magnetic tools designed for more balanced, survival-friendly gameplay.
They help you easily gather nearby dropped items with just a simple offhanding.

Features

• Basic Magnet
  Pulls all nearby dropped items within a 6-block radius (12×12 area).
  Simple and useful for quick cleanups while mining or farming.

• Advanced Magnet
  An upgraded version with an impressive 32-block radius (64×64 area).
  Perfect for farms or large-scale collection.

Both magnets are crafted with valuable materials to reflect their usefulness and power. Crafting recipes are included in the datapack and designed to maintain balance.

Screenshots

Magnets use lantern models to blend naturally with the vanilla aesthetic. If you use a 3D lantern resource pack, the visual effect is even better! (See screenshots in the gallery.)

Future Plans

• Custom resource pack: I'm working on unique models for the magnets, but they already look great as lanterns for now.
• Balancing improvements: I want to add conditions or limitations to magnets, such as:
  • Durability or cooldowns
  • Custom attributes
  • Potential drawbacks or side effects
