About

Description

This is a mod adding compat between TFC and Aquaculture 2.

Features

Fish

Normally, fishes from vanilla/other mod does not fit into TFC fishing mechanism and cannot spawn in salt water. But with this mod, fishes from Aquaculture 2 are allowed to spawn in TFC salt waters when condition is met. Aquaculture fishes are divided into different categories according to their wiki, and each has specific spawn condition that respects TFC climate mechanism. The fishes are also able to bite the TFC hook.

To blend into TFC fishing system, large fishes that provide 7 or more fillets are considered requiring large fish bait to catch. To make this adjustment more visually intuitive, fishes' model sizes are adjusted according to their fillet amount. (Note: The size adjustment is a configurable feature.)

Fishing Bait

Aquaculture worm is tagged as small fishing bait and it is an extra drop when harvesting mature crops. Aquaculture minnow and bluegill are tagged as large fishing bait.

Fish Mount

Fish mount rendering is adjusted to fit the enlarged fish models. Each TFC wood type has its fish mount now.

Fillet Processing

You can use TFC knives with an aquaculture fish in a crafting grid to make fillet. This recipe produces random byproducts, including fish bone, message in a bottle, TFC giant kelp flower, TFC blubber and ore shards. Message in a bottle can ocassionally provides empty bottle and/or a paper, as if you opened it carefully enough and the bottle is not too fragile to be recycled. Among the byproducts, there is "Neptunian Pearl", which is the essential material for making neptunium equipment.

Neptunium Metal

Neptunium is now a metal in TFC world. You may obtain this material by heating up "Neptunian Pearl", which is a byproduct of large fish processing.

Neptunium Armor

To fit TFC forging and welding system, recipes of neptunium equipments are adjusted. Now you need to weld black steel ingot with a Neptunium ingot to get Neptunian Steel, which can be further forged into equipments. Neptunium helmet now, instead of vanilla night vision, grants "Vision of Neptune" effect, which makes you see more clearly under water and it also highlights fish and aquatic predators with glow-like visual effect.

For Pack Makers

Byproducts of fillet recipes are contolled with loot table. For instance, you may put a loot table json file at data/survivorsaquaculture/loot_tables/fillet/aquaculture/atlantic_cod.json to adjust byproducts of an atlantic cod.
