THIS MOD IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR SERVERSIDE
SwoogMod is a mod that hopes to improve your Minecraft experience by adding various things that range from small quality of life additions to larger things like mobs or biomes.
Currently it is a very small mod, and progress is extremely slow. It depends on my current mood, it's a hobby thing more than anything.
This mod is currently in a bit of a playtesting phase, and as such some of it's elements might not be very balanced.
Currently, this mod adds:
MOBS:
Most of these mobs do not have drops yet.
Ara Crabs: Small little scuttly crabs that currently don't do much at all. They'll serve more of a purpose in the future, promise.
Scungle: The scungle is a creature that was based on warden concept art by Mojang that I didn't want to be wasted. It's an end mob that mostly serves as ambience.
Purpur Floater: Another End mob, this one also serves mostly as ambience. It floats in the void, just to make you feel a bit less alone.
Netherwalker: A large ambient passive Nether mob that simply wanders around. Say hi!
LeafScuddler: A rare forest mob that camouflages as a Leaf block, making it hard to spot. It's planned to be tameable in the future!
Desert Strider: A new hostile mob in the desert.
Badlands Lizard: A creature in need of a better name, this lizard spawns in, predictably, the badlands. It's aggressive, but you can walk past it without angering it if you're sneaking.
Fungisaur: A neutral dinosaur-like mob that rarely spawns in the mushroom fields biome. Also planned to be tameable and maybe even rideable in the future.
Mountain Troll: A large mob that rarely spawns in the mountains. It's short-sighted, so if you stay away it won't spot you. If it does spot you, it can run quite fast, so respond quickly!
Swamp Cruiser: A harmless large insectoid mob that lives in swamps. There's not much to say about it.
Titan Armorfish: A miniboss of sorts, this shark-like creature rarely spawns in the deep ocean biome, and will hunt you down without mercy. Killing it will get you a few fishing loot drops aswell as a tooth.
Bungo: A tall goat-giraffe like creature in snow biomes.
Wallux: A jellyfish-like creature that spawns in oceans. It won't attack if you don't attack it, so don't worry too much about it.
Golden Monkey: A new tameable jungle mob! Use cocoa beans, apples or carrots to tame it and get an adorable new monkey friend.
Note that there's a few mobs in this mod that aren't listed here. These mobs are unfinished and not yet fully implemented.
MATERIALS:
SOULFORGED STEEL: A new material created by infusing netherite ingots with bottled souls, using a Soulforge. You will rarely find awakened soulsand in the soulsand valley biome, which you can dig up for fragmented souls. Combining 8 fragmented souls and a bottle will get you a bottled soul, which you can then use as fuel for your soulforge. Awakened soulsand may also be crafted with blaze powder and soulsand.
YERNIUM: In an attempt to make the End more interesting while retaining it's barren feel, a new ore has been added based on the greenish material found on the end portal frame. Yernium currently only has one use, that being to craft a Yernium Mask using an ingot, a carved pumpkin and 6 pieces of string. This mask will prevent endermen from getting angry when you look at them, without blocking your own view.
FOOD:
CHEESE: It's cheese. Craft it with a milk bucket. 9 Cheese can be combined into a yummy cheese block.
ELDER CORN: A variation of normal corn, because that'd be too boring. You can get it by trading with a farmer or a wandering trader.
There is a few biome blocks in this mod, but I am not planning to add any new biomes for the foreseeable future.
THIS MOD IS VERY UNFINISHED AND STILL BEING TESTED!
Please enjoy :)
Special thanks to RogueIsDed for helping with a few entity designs and designing the Titan Armorfish!
