TaCZ Display Compat

TaCZ Display Compat is a lightweight compatibility mod by xSxLabs that allows weapons from Timeless and Classics Zero (TaCZ) to interact normally with supported modded item displays.

What problem does it fix?

TaCZ intentionally prevents certain normal right-click interactions while a gun is held.

Vanilla Item Frames and Glow Item Frames are explicitly supported by TaCZ, allowing guns to be placed inside them normally. However, item frames, display stands and display cases added by other mods may have their interaction blocked before the display mod gets a chance to handle the held item.

TaCZ Display Compat fixes this interaction conflict.

What does the compat do?

The mod allows TaCZ's normal right-click prevention to be bypassed for a configurable list of blocks.

Once the interaction is allowed, the original display mod handles everything else.

The default configuration includes support for:

• FramedBlocks – Framed Item Frame

• FramedBlocks – Glowing Framed Item Frame

• Actually Additions – Display Stand

• Tanuki Decor – Display Case

• Tanuki Decor – Long Display Case

Universal Config Support

Support is not limited to the included defaults.

Additional modded displays can be added through the configuration file using their block registry ID.

Registry IDs use the following format:

modid:block_id

For example:

framedblocks:framed_item_frame

Default entries can also be removed if they are not wanted.

This makes it possible to test and enable additional item displays without requiring a new version of the compat mod.

Invalid or unavailable block IDs are safely ignored.

What does this mod NOT change?

TaCZ Display Compat does not replace or reimplement TaCZ weapon functionality.

It does not provide its own:

• Gun models

• Gun textures

• Weapon behavior

• Attachments

• Animations

• Display inventories

• Display rendering

• Display interaction logic

The original mods remain responsible for their own functionality.

The compat only prevents the specific TaCZ interaction restriction from blocking configured display blocks.

FramedBlocks, Actually Additions and Tanuki Decor are not required dependencies.

They are included as tested default configuration entries, but the compat can also be used with other mods by adding their display block registry IDs to the configuration.

Stable Release

Version 1.0.0 is the first stable release.

The core compatibility behavior is based on the successfully tested implementation and has been kept intentionally minimal.

Modpacks

You may include TaCZ Display Compat in modpacks.

Standalone reuploads, mirrors, modified releases or forks are not permitted without prior written permission.
