Survival Acquisition

All patterns are obtainable in Survival through three systems:

Structure Loot

Patterns spawn in chests across the Overworld, thematically matched to their location. All loot uses vanilla loot table paths – meaning modded structures that hook into the same tables will automatically carry these patterns too!

  • Desert Pyramids → Crescents, Ayyildiz, Turkic seals (Osman, Ertuğrul, Timur, Selçuklu…), Ankh, Eye of Horus, Zulfiqar, Hamsa, Persian Lion – the richest source for all Islamic and Turkic patterns
  • Woodland Mansions → Fleur-de-Lis, Lion, Crosses, Austrian Eagle, Crown, Horse
  • Jungle Temples → Temple, Dharma, Gye Nyame, Hamsa, Mughal, Three Crescents
  • Igloos → Mjölnir, Sun Cross, Russian Cross, Horse
  • Shipwrecks → Anchor, Rising Sun, Taegeuk, Temple, Persian Lion
  • Underwater Ruins → Anchor, Ankh, Byzantine Eagle, Roman Aquila, Eye of Horus
  • Pillager Outposts → Bozkurt, Cuman, Horse, Lion, Kırım, Mjölnir, Crown
  • Stronghold Libraries → Historical seals, Roman Aquila, Dharma, Rising Sun, Taegeuk
  • Stronghold Corridors → Crosses, Crown, Bozkurt, Lion
  • Trail Ruins → Steppe & archaeological finds: Kırım, Çerkez, Cuman, Pyramid, Eye of Horus
  • Ancient Cities → The rarest patterns from all cultures combined

Cartographer Trades

  • Expert Level (4) → Common patterns: Crescents, Latin Cross, Crown, Lion, Fleur-de-Lis
  • Master Level (5) → Rare patterns: Historical seals, Eagles, Religious symbols

Wandering Trader

  • Randomly offers rare patterns for 16–31 Emeralds
  • Only 1 purchase per visit – keep exploring!

Shields

Banner patterns render on shields, too! Craft a banner with any pattern, combine it with a shield, and your emblem is displayed pixel-perfect at 100% scale – the pattern now fills the shield face exactly 1:1, with no shrinking, stretching, or off-centre artifacts. banners

Epic Knights Compatibility

Full support for Epic Knights (magistuarmory) shields! Patterns render correctly on all paintable Epic Knights shield types – Heater, Kite, Round, Elliptical, Tartsche, and Pavese – each with its own precisely calibrated shape so the pattern matches the shield silhouette perfectly. The overlay is layered on top of Epic Knights' own renderer, so both mods play together without visual conflicts. banners
