Description

TARDIS Refined - Immersive Portals Crash Fix

A simple hotfix that stops your game from crashing when you have both TARDIS Refined and Immersive Portals installed.

🔥 The Problem

When you run Minecraft with both TARDIS Refined and Immersive Portals, the game crashes during startup with an error about tardis_refined:factory. This happens because TARDIS Refined tries to set up compatibility with Immersive Portals too early, before all game registries are ready.

✅ The Solution

This mod disables the problematic compatibility code inside TARDIS Refined. It doesn't remove either mod — it just tells TARDIS Refined to skip the part that causes the crash. Your game will load normally, and both mods will work side by side.

Important: This fix does not restore the visual integration between the two mods (like seeing the TARDIS interior through portals without loading screens). It only prevents the crash. The integration remains disabled.

📥 Installation

  1. Download the .jar file.

  2. Place it in your mods folder (both client and server, if you're running a dedicated server).

  3. Make sure you already have TARDIS Refined and Immersive Portals installed.

  4. Launch the game — no extra configuration needed.

🧪 How to verify it's working

Check your logs/latest.log file. If you see lines like:

text
[TardisFix] Mod started!
[TardisFix] ImmersivePortals.init() overwritten successfully!

...then the fix is active.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • All players on a server must have this mod installed (it's client-side and server-side).

  • If you remove this mod, the crash will come back.

  • This is a temporary workaround — it does not add new features or restore the original portal integration.

🔧 Compatibility

  • Minecraft 1.20.1

  • Forge 47.4.10

  • TARDIS Refined 2.1.6

  • Immersive Portals 3.0.7

📦 Credits

  • Original mods by Whocraft (TARDIS Refined) and qouteall (Immersive Portals).
