Team Chat

Team Chat lets you privately message your team across different Minecraft servers — one shared chat that follows your team wherever each of you is playing, backed by our hosted Team Chat server.

⚠️ IMPORTANT — READ FIRST

No account? No problem — you can talk right away in Guest mode, alongside other guests and registered users, with nothing to set up.

Want a real account (your own teams, friends, labels, and settings that stick around)? You need one of two, both free — and Discord is not required for either:

• Register on the website — teamchat.mobilemc.net, no Discord required at all. Email/password, or just continue with Google or Discord.
• Register through our Discord — /register hands you a one-time website link to finish on. No password typed into Discord.

Either way gets you the same account — same teams, same friends, same token/PIN system, same features.

• We DO NOT ask for emails, verification codes, or passwords outside of the official website's own login form.
• If anyone DMs you asking for your email, verification code, or account info claiming to be Team Chat — DO NOT TRUST THEM.
• Already registered on one and want the other too? /connection (Discord) or the website's Account page links them together.

A lightweight client-side mod that allows private messaging across servers — backed by our hosted Team Chat server.

This mod lets you:

• Message teammates even if they are on a different Minecraft server
• Communicate directly between players without relying on in-game proximity or server chat
• Stay connected with your team regardless of where they are playing

Guest mode needs nothing. A real account (Discord or website) just gets you teams, friends, labels, and settings that persist.

What This Mod Is

Team Chat is NOT local chat and NOT server chat.

• Messages are sent through the Team Chat server
• Works across different servers, different worlds, and different locations
• Ideal for teams, friends, and groups playing separately

Features

• Client-only mod.
• Custom teams with join codes — create up to 5, join unlimited (for now).
• Per-user labels for teams (example: "Team 1", "Raid") — only you see them.
• Session controls: away, leave, switch, return, disband (leader-only).
• Auto-connect — set your token once and the mod connects on its own from then on.
• Auto-reconnect — if the connection drops mid-session, it reconnects on its own.
• Local authentication: token + optional pin, stored locally on your PC.
• Commands available for connection, authentication, team management, and messaging.

Beyond the mod — your account also gets you

• A website dashboard — manage everything at teamchat.mobilemc.net without touching Discord.
• Friends & public profiles — add friends, follow people, and get invited straight to a team.
• Discover — browse and join public teams from the website, no code needed.
• Guests welcome in your team — leaders can allow guest accounts to join, and guests can pick their own custom name from the website.
• Verified badge — handed out selectively to accounts/teams we've personally confirmed, mainly so nobody can convincingly impersonate them.
• Reports — report a player or team straight from their profile; staff review every one.
• Real moderation tiers — mute → temp ban → full ban → termination, with most punishments keeping your website login open in a read-only/appeal mode.

Limits & Notes

• Team names and labels are max 32 characters.
• Labels are per-user — only you see them.
• Messages are real-time only.
• Discord messages sent to clients have new lines removed for safety/consistency.

Security Notes

• We will never DM you asking for private information.
• Tokens and pins come only from the Discord bot's commands or the official website — nowhere else.
• Allowing Discord DMs is optional if you register through Discord — you'll still receive your token either way.
• Report suspicious behavior to staff immediately.
