Technoblade is known for his storytelling, wit, and determination - qualities that continue to inspire millions, including myself. This mod is inspired by that legacy, aims to celebrate his life by adding features to Minecraft that reference his videos. Technoblade never dies!

Features

Technoblade Eternal adds unique, vanilla-friendly items to Minecraft. Check out each feature in the gallery!

  • Two new music discs: "Blitz" and "Mega Walls"! These discs can rarely be dropped by a creeper when slain by a skeleton.
  • Potato Parchment: Crafted with baked potatoes and paper, this parchment shines with divine power... wait, is something burning?
  • Hot Potato Books: These books are crammed with Potato Parchment (and lots of experience) - better get to farming those potatoes. But beware, you may find yourself on fire!
  • The Golden Crown: Just as protective as a Golden Helmet, but much more expensive. On rare occasions, Piglin Brutes may be found wearing them.
  • The Gilded Crown: What's better than a crown made of gold blocks? A Golden Crown infused with netherite.
  • The Potato Crown: Imbue a Gilded Crown with a Nether Star to craft a replica of Technoblade's crown. Has more knockback resistance than a Netherite helmet - get an edge in PVP!
  • The Techno of Undying: "Not even close, baby!" Massive thank you to Toasty_42 for allowing me to incorporate parts of their resource pack in this mod. Head over to their Planet Minecraft page to download the full version of the Techno of Undying resource pack if you'd like (unobtrusive model, custom death sounds, subtitles).
  • Not Even Close: Annoyed with your expensive tools breaking on accident? This enchantment for all tools and armor resurrects items when they break! Resurrected items are restored to about one-fourth of their original durability, and the enchantment is wiped from the item after being used. Not Even Close is an uncommon find in the enchanting table.

Q: Will you be porting this mod to older versions/Fabric/Quilt?
A: While I will not be developing this mod for any loader besides Forge, I am considering a port to 1.18.2. Older versions such as 1.16.5 or 1.12.2 will not be considered.

Q: May I use this mod in a modpack or make a video about it?

A: Yes, of course! :) As long as you include credit and don't claim Technoblade Eternal as your own creation, we're good.

Q: Wait, Hot Potato Books give experience? Is that balanced?

A: I understand that some may be concerned that experience can be farmed by growing potatoes - if you happen to be concerned, here's all you need to know! TL;DR at the bottom. Hot Potato Books are intended to be an alternative to traditional experience farms - whether that be using Endermen or Zombified Piglins. The average automated potato farm can output roughly 700-750 potatoes per hour, which is equivalent to about 27 Hot Potato Books per hour (assuming you have a large supply of paper, leather, and furnaces). The most popular Enderman farm I found on Youtube produced 153 experience levels per hour (assuming the player begins at 0 levels and does not spend a single point for an hour). With this in mind, 27 Hot Potato Books (about an hour of potato farming) yields anywhere from 150 to 153 experience points with the same restrictions. Hot Potato Books also require three farms for reliable experience (leather, paper, and potatoes), alongside added friction of needing to craft the books. Their main utility in the end is their portability - making them the best portable experience in vanilla by far. To balance this, they do not stack.

TL;DR: Hot Potato Books are balanced with the intention of being equal to an efficient Enderman farm. They are likely more inconvenient to mass produce than a mob farm, depending on circumstance. Either way, they are an alternative to mob experience farms that are intentionally not stronger than conventional mob farms.
