About
Description
TV Fallout Protocol is a gameplay/worldgen mod built for a Fallout-style survival experience: a devastated Overworld, radiation exposure, and rare safe pockets (oases). Designed for The Nova Matrix: Terminal Velocity ecosystem, but usable in other packs.
Key Features
Eco-collapse Overworld: vegetation is stripped and terrain is sterilized during worldgen for a true wasteland vibe.
Oasis regions: rare pockets of life that function as safer zones.
Radiation Exposure System
Exposure accumulates over time in unsafe conditions.
PPE = full armor set: when you’re wearing a full suit, you still gain exposure but radiation effects are suppressed.
Armor acts as your timer: radiation damages all worn armor pieces over time — better armor lasts longer because it has more durability.
Shelter logic
Safe depth reduces exposure over time.
Optional “hardened shelter” behavior using shielding blocks (configurable).
Spawn Bunker
- A simple spawn bunker is generated so players don’t start helpless in open radiation zones.
Configuration
Config file: config/tvfalloutprotocol-common.toml
Important knobs:
Oasis frequency / radius
Base radiation rate + indoor/outdoor multipliers
Armor wear rate from radiation dose
Safe depth threshold
Compatibility Notes
Intended for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1.
If you use heavy worldgen mods, start with the included world preset, then layer mods in gradually.
Roadmap (planned)
Better bunker structure (NBT structure template)
More environmental storytelling (rubble, craters, POI hooks)
Additional radiation interactions (consumables, filters, decon blocks)
