Description

Knarfy's Terrible PVP

A bunch of ridiculous PvP items designed to make fights chaotic, unfair, and extremely funny. Designed based on comments from Knarfy's YouTube Channel!

(PLEASE remember that this mod is NOT supposed to be polished, and may lead to crashes or strange errors. Don't use this mod on a world you like!)

Check out the original video from Knarfy here:

What's in the mod:

Items

  • Comically Large Rubber Chicken — A real squeaky melee weapon. Squeak it on entities, blocks, or just into the void. Has its own death messages and sound effects.
  • Obligatory Frying Pan — Every swing is a critical hit, with knockback. Makes a satisfying SMACK on block breaks.
  • Stale Baguette — 10 durability, 25 attack damage. Eat it for Resistance. Use it well, it won't last long.
  • Sharpened Dripstone — A throwable shard with the trident throwing pose. Craft by right-clicking pointed dripstone on an anvil or grindstone. Enchantable with Explosive (boom) or Swarming (one becomes many).
  • Damage Dice — Throw it down, watch it tumble, right-click the resulting dice mob to consume it for a tiered Strength buff based on the roll (1–6).
  • Insta Gapple Slice — Quick snack. Quick heal.
  • Portable Void — Right-click to swap places with a random nearby entity. (Configurable to ignore hostile mobs via gamerule)
  • Grandma's Walker — When Grandma Mode activates, you get a walker in your offhand and the appropriate slow shuffle. You're old now.
  • Plot Armor (full set) — Grows in protection every time anyone sends a chat message. The longer your monologue, the harder you are to kill. Resets on death.

Mobs

  • Angry Chicken — A vanilla chicken's vengeful cousin. Glowing red eyes when angry.
  • Dripstone Minion — A walking pointed dripstone that obeys nobody.

Effect

  • Grandma Mode — Comes as a regular potion, splash potion, lingering potion, and tipped arrow. Slows you down, weakens your jumps, gives you a walker, and plays the unmistakable Grandma shuffle animation. Try not to laugh.

Commands

  • /pvp start and /pvp stop — Set up or tear down a PvP match. Hands out the kit (or vanilla kit), enables the lives system, manages tagging.
  • /pvp tag <player> custom_items|vanilla_items — Tag a player for a kit.
  • /kit pvp_items <player> / /kit vanilla_items <player> — Give a kit directly without starting a match.
  • /lives setup — Enable the player-lives system.
  • /lives off — Disable the lives system.
  • /lives set <player> <count> — Override a player's lives.
  • /lives reset <player> — Reset a player's lives to default.

Gamerules

  • spamThrowableDripstone — Removes the throwable dripstone cooldown.
  • spamDice — Lets damage dice stack their Strength buff instead of refreshing it.
  • voidIgnoresHostileMobs — Portable Void won't target hostile mobs.
  • playerLifeSystem — Master switch for the lives system; set automatically by /lives setup and /pvp start.

Advancements

A full advancement tree with goals like Roll for Initiative, Care for some cookies?, BOOOM!!, Multiplication, and Who knew, right? — each tied to a specific item or interaction.
