Description

Terroir

Grow a vineyard, press the grapes, age wine in a cellar — and raise a glass with a friend. Terroir is a cozy, vanilla-style winemaking mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric & NeoForge).

Features

  • 🍇 5 grape varieties — Red, White, Isabella, Muscat and Kyoho. Each grows wild in its own biomes.
  • 🌿 Living vines — place a trellis, plant a cutting in it, and the vine creeps along your trellis wall.
  • ⚙️ Screw press — every click is one slow turn of the screw. Or just jump on the grapes.
  • 🛢️ Barrels & cellars — fermentation and aging; dark oak barrels give +1★, a dark cellar ages wine twice as fast.
  • 🍾 10 wines with their own bottles and effects.
  • 📅 Vintages — every bottle remembers its harvest year; older wine is stronger.
  • 🥂 Wine glasses — up to 4 per block: pour, drink and toast with friends.
  • 🧑‍🍳 Sommelier — a villager profession working at the Tasting Table. Buys wine, sells rare cuttings and old vintages.
  • 🏡 Village wine houses — some plains, savanna and taiga villages now have a small sommelier house.
  • 🏚️ Abandoned wineries — a ruined house over a buried cellar, with an overgrown vineyard.
  • 📖 Winemaker's Guide — an illustrated in-game book.
  • 🪵 Decor: wine rack, grape crates, scarecrow, winemaker's hat, raisins.

Villages

Getting started

  1. Break wild grape bushes (or grass) to get a cutting.
  2. Craft a trellis, place it on soil and plant the cutting in it.
  3. Harvest → press → bottle the juice → barrel → wine!

Everything is explained in the Winemaker's Guide (Terroir creative tab).

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Fabric Loader 0.16+ with Fabric API — or — NeoForge 21.1+
  • Install on both client and server.
